Downgrading the AIDS epidemic

The good news is that the U.N. has reduced its estimate of annual AIDS infections by 40 percent. The bad news is that previous estimates were inflated because of politics, bad science, or both.

While reading the announcement, I couldn't help but draw parallels with certain climate change proponents and Intelligent Design critics whose tactics involve alarmism, exaggerated estimates and the politicization of science to protect their study grants and mandarin status.

Is that why "Abstinence Education" is thrown out, not enough money to be made with it. Imagine how abstinence education could hurt the condom industry, ED medications, millions of magazines make money on promiscuity. All the anti-depressants (guilt ridden people suffer from depression), the birth control and morning after pill industry. God the lists goes on and on. The Bible says that we will serve one master Money or God. I will serve the Lord.
