Remember the 70's?
We were told that there would be a global shortage of food and mass starvation in the 1970's. It was because of climate change. Don't you remember global cooling! Scientists are not the best at making predictions.
Funny on last night's Fox's program House in the episode one of the side stories was an asexual couple. House bet his friend $100 that one of them had a health problem and the other was just being nice. Sure enough the husband had a tumor which inhibited his sex drive. They told him what would happen and he said but he didn't want sex. His wife piped up having sex would be nice.
My dad told me that when he was young they were predicting paper clothing.
