New poll

I expected Sci-fi/Fantasy to win our poll about kids' favorite genres, but I didn't expect such a landslide! The final results:

Sci-fi/Fantasy: 34 (47.2%)
Adventure: 13 (18.1%)
Mystery/Thriller: 8 (11.1%)
Classic: 6 (8.3%)
Historical: 5 (6.9%)
Other: 4 (5.6%)
Humor: 2 (2.8%)

While we'll continue to review books from all the different genres, these results help us to know more about what you need from us, so thanks to all who participated! I hope you'll vote in our new poll, on the left.

Comments:

By all means, yes, comments are most welcome! Although our system doesn't seem to allow them directly on the poll itself, it's just fine to leave them at the "new poll" posts. I've been wishing more people would, actually.
Perhaps there could be an opportunity for comments on a poll once a person has voted.

On the current poll I chose, "Read it with him or her," but really I read it first and then decide whether or not to read it with my child. One book I decided to not let my nine-year old daughter read and I explained to her why. She understood and appreciated that I took the time to keep her safe from overly scary/spooky/yucky material.
