I’m a huge college basketball fan. I usually only notice the NBA after March Madness is over. But, even Duke’s amazing buzzer-beating comeback win over North Carolina last week has been overshadowed by the NBA hysteria called LinSanity.
More Harvard grads have become President of the United States than have made it in the NBA. But Jeremy Lin, an undrafted point guard who was waived by two NBA teams has earned job security after leading New York to six straight wins with huge games.
Everyone in New York talking about Jeremy Lin, except for JLin himself who may be the only one there not caught up in LinSanity. Lin is a committed Christian and it’s that faith in Christ that keeps him humble and thankful, he says. Some say God is too big to care about sports. I say he’s too big not too care about sports -- but not about wins and losses. He cares about his people and His name. Read more about Jeremy Lin at thePointRadio.org. I’m John Stonestreet.
