Scientists in New England and the U.K. have figured out how to produce unlimited human eggs in the laboratory using stem cells taken from women’s ovaries. This is a huge discovery. According to the British Independent, unlimited human eggs could mean cheap stem cell research, anti-aging techniques and even the ability to reverse menopause and infertility.

Celeste McGovern with the National Catholic Register tackles this news from a Christian perspective. We’ll link to that article at ThePointRadio.org. But this offers another example of how science today asks only “if,” and never “ought.” Technology continues to outpace our ethics, so Christians need to be prepared to be pro-life 2.0. In light of this technology, embryos will be created and killed. And embryos hidden away in a lab are still human life, and rebuilding a culture of life means engaging this issue as much as abortion. For The PointRadio.org, I’m John Stonestreet.
