'You Lost Me' By: John Stonestreet|Published: May 25, 2012 12:00 AM Topics: Education, Youth Issues Need a graduation gift? Stay tuned. For the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point. Listen Now | DownloadEvery May, I speak at a handful of graduation ceremonies. Most of the time, the kids seems so solid. So I wonder — why do statistics say so many will struggle with their faith once they leave home for college or a career? Many have written about this — and a lot of it is unhelpful. But this weekend on BreakPoint this week, I’ll talk with two guys who can help you help the next generation. Dave Kinnaman, president of the Barna Group and author of the book You Lost Me has done the most extensive, balanced research available on why students leave the church. A key finding is that students desperately want and need adults who are invested in their life. In other words, the best graduation gift an adult can give a student is their time, attention, and leadership. That’s why I’ll also talk with Jeff Myers, President of Summit Ministries who will offer tips on how we can connect with, and influence the next generation. Listen on radio or at Breakpoint.org. I’m John Stonestreet.

I've just signed up for my FREE account and am looking forward to being able to download files that I can play on any device with no extra software needed. I'm also looking forward to the fact that they offer lots of free downloads. I'll be cancelling my *paid* monthly subscription on another site right after I post this message. I've recently discovered the beauty of listening to a book while getting housework done. It's great pondering first order questions of life with Eric Metaxes' _Socrates in the City_ while folding laundry and washing dishes. My husband is rather happy about it, too. ;)
I'm also looking forward to your free download: Why Students Walk Away From the Faith. Thanks for all you do!
