Recently I got the chance to interview philosopher and C.S. Lewis scholar Michael Peterson on a number of questions regarding C.S. Lewis. Questions on salvation, narnia, his general appeal, science, etc. If you don't know what caliber Peterson is as an authority on Lewis let me simply say this: Michael Peterson was one of those few scholars called up by Disney to evaluate and suggest changes to the Chronicles of Narnia films. In other words, he's what we call an "expert." He has a forthcoming book on Lewis' thought theological worldview. In addition, he has published a number of articles and books (Philosophy of Religion: Oxford), and is currently a professor of philosophy at Asbury Theological Seminary.

The following video is a brief overview on C.S. Lewis' conversion from atheism to Christianity. I asked Peterson this question for one simple reason: Lewis was a lay-intellectual. That is, his conversion was absolutely surrounded by the conviction that he needed to have a worldview which made sense of reality and be able to answer those great questions of life and, yet, it was a highly personal journey. Thus, there is a great model of doing apologetics and finding one's faith in his conversion. It is reasonable and at the same time beyond reason.
