  1. I find it ironic that the Vanity Fair article about the Letterman show speaks of sexual harrassment and an environment uncomfortable for women, next to a cover of Vanity Fair with a very sexy photo of Penelope Cruz, touting a photo spread with the words, "Penelope Cruze, Va Vooom!" (Not to mention a popup of the same cover, just in case you didn't see the one in the sidebar.) That sort of waters down the impact of the article, don't you think?
  2. Thanks for posting the link to the story about the gang rape outside the high school. Those stories are ammunition against the Porn industry because porn is the ONLY source that GLAMORIZES this kind of activity. The police call it a 'gang rape' - the porn industry calls it a 'gang bang' and they release scores of movies each year glamorizing this behavior and they even give awards for the best videos in this series each year! While some may scratch their heads and wonder what led to such behavior by those teens, people aware of porn and how it desensitizes us and puts previously unthought of ideas into our heads will understand the connection. And to make things worse, porn is freely available to adults and kids via the internet and there seems to be little concern to stop the free-flow of images and movies they mass produce for WORLDWIDE consumption each year. If what those kids did was wrong, then it surely is wrong to glamorize it as the porn industry does.
