  1. Benjamin - If you read up on what each of these people believes and writes, you will see that they do not believe anything close to the same thing. It is correct that none of these people are YEC's. The defining difference here is "guided" vs "unguided." I have heard reports that this was a very interesting and lively debate and I am anxious to review it. I am a person who tends to believe in YEC but have not made up my mind. This debate is not about the Biblical creation story or age of the earth though - this is really a critique of the typical secular story about unguided "Darwinian" processes, so you will see plenty of argument against the new darwinian synthesis and macroevolution here.
  2. Sternberg and Meyer are the proponents for Intelligent Design; Shermer and Prothero are the proponents for evolution. // No candidates for anything like a young-earth view, though.
  3. So you have a bunch of people who are all evolutionists (from their abstracts) discussing why only evolution "defines the origins of life" - all of whom have major credentials at stake if evolution was proven false. Hmm...doesn't sound like much of a debate to me.

The one reliable force that restrains the hand of the man of power. In an age of powerworship, the Christian religion has become the principal obstacle to the desire of earthly utopians for absolute power."

This is really sad. I wish more of those nearby parishes and churches had used the pharmacy. Ventures like this need to be supported by local communities or else we’ll always be stuck with only secular options.
