Food Police Are at It Again!

Tyrants that they are, the Food Police have made inroads into banning sugary goodness from the school yards. This time, the PTA isn't allowed to conduct a bake sale to raise money for a variety of needs.

Parents, beware: Delighting in their power, these FPs will be coming to a school near you.

Prescription for obese children: Turn off the cell phones, computers, and televisions, and go outside and play. All the exercise will help burn off those nasty extra calories, build strong bones, and so forth.

Now the enlightened NY Times is seeking essays on whether it is moral to eat meat. I would rather see essays on whether or not it's moral to believe anything you read in the Times. Or, to play devil's advocate, whether it's moral to eat vegans ( although I hear there's no meat on them).

I suppose if we can worry about other people's lust it's only fair not to be upset that others worry about other people's gluttony.
