English majors, rejoice!

At the American Spectator, Helen Rittelmeyer argues that "the next generation of college professors seems to have returned to the proper business of contemplating the best that has been thought and said in the world." She illustrates her point by showing that, in the Yale English department, Marxist literary theory is out, and Milton, the Victorians, and religious literature are in.

If she's right about what that means, that's good news, not just for English majors, but for everyone.
