Florida A&M Professor Barbara A. Thompson has written a book, “The Gospel According to Apostle Barack,” in which she proclaims Barack Obama as equal to Jesus and on a mission to bring “heaven on earth.”
Thompson claims that God has given her a series of dreams on the subject. Apostle Barack, the name she claimed he was called in her dream, “would walk the earth to create a more equalized society for the middle class and working poor. . . . He has gone to the mountaintop and has the answers to unlock the kingdom of ‘heaven on earth’ for his followers.”
She also says “that Jesus walked the earth to create a more civilized society.”
First of all—really? This takes Black Liberation Theology to the level of blasphemy.
Second of all, Jesus died on the cross only so we could have a more civilized society? It was hardly worth coming to Earth just for that.
But will people believe what Thompson has written? Of course they will, because she is telling them what they want to hear. As entertainer Jamie Foxx’s recent shoutout to “our lord and savior Barack Obama” demonstrated, there’s an audience for what Thompson is selling.
Did Thompson have those dreams she claimed? Possibly. Were they from God? No chance. I recommend that Barbara Thompson read 1 John 4:1 “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
This is one test she has failed miserably.

How vile. And horrifying.
