Finding good biographies can be quite challenging. So when a historian of Thomas Kidd's caliber
recommends a few, I take note.
Besides the five on his official list, he gives a nod to a few others, including his own: "
Patrick Henry: First Among Patriots." I'm in the midst of reading it and can recommend it.
Along with Kidd's recommendations, I also recommend two of Jonthan Aitken's biographies: "
Charles W. Colson: A Life Redeemed" and "
John Newton: From Disgrace to Amazing Grace."
So many good books to read, so little time.
Comments:
Maria Theresa by Edward Crankshaw is a splendid biography.
