President Obama has declared today Religious Freedom Day. This came after he selected a priest with the proper views on homosexuality to deliver the benediction at his inauguration, replacing Louie Giglio.

In totally unrelated news, the Alec Guinness film The Prisoner (1955) is currently playing on TCM. It's about a cardinal whose religious views are deemed unacceptable by the state.
