The Internet Habits of China's Youth


I found this pretty interesting: “While 42% of Americans agree that they live some of their life on line, 86% of Chinese youth do. Asked whether they have a ‘parallel’ online life, only 13% of Americans said yes, compared to 61% of Chinese.” Curious as to why? Read more here.

While unbridled self-expression is certainly not a laudable virtue, this article does remind me that freedom is a gift from God. And an opportunity to have a unique sense of self is something we take for granted here in our free society. Of course, there’s an important line between identity and narcissism—a line we too often cross and then idolize here in the U.S.
