Not your run-of-the-mill pairing

Now this is interesting. I hadn’t heard till now that atheist Christopher Hitchens has been squaring off in good-natured but intense debate with none other than Douglas Wilson. Their arguments have been published in Is Christianity Good for the World? (Canon Press 2008). And a documentary following their debates will be released on October 27. See a lengthy preview of Collision here.

Doesn't the whole premise beg the question of where we got the idea that we should care what's good for the world? Historically a few peoples thought it axiomatic that they were good for the world and the rest didn't give a hoot.
